Sunburst

Mac thank you for translating this tutorial into englisch.

Before we can start to make this tut, we need the following:
The mask mycircletwirl

This is a mask made and owned by: http://valcali.homestead.com/
We also need a nice tube; you could use mine.

  Open the mask in psp
Put it aside because we don’t need it right now.

  Open a new transparent 600 x 600
Flood fill with a colour matching your tube

Go to: Layers – new mask layer – from image; following settings:

Highlight your tube – edit – copy. On your working area; edit – paste as a new layer.
Place your tube with your move tool.

Add a drop shadow; following settings

   Layers – merge visible
It could be useful to save this. This way it can be used with another text.

  Layers – new layer.
Pick two nice colours from your tube and find your text tool.
Choose a nice font and decide which size is best.
This depends on the length of your name.
Place your text with your deform tool and rotate a bit, just like I did.
Effects- 3D effects – inner bevel; following settings:

Add a drop shadow with the same settings as before.

  Layers – merge visible
Click CTRL + C and then CTRL + V and all the useless space will be gone.
Now go to Image – resize – change the longest side to 350 pixels.
All layers checked.

Effects – sharpness – sharpen.

Export your image as jpg and there is your nametag.

This tutorial had been written by Semantha and will always be mine.
