Before
we start we need the following: A nice tube or you can usemijne.
Open
a new transparent 700 x700 pixels
Take a nice tube
Edit – copy, on your working area: edit – paste as new layer.
Layer – duplicate. Hide the duplicated layer Effects – distortion effects
– Spiky Halo; following settings:
Highlight the duplicate
tube layer, image – resize; following settings:
Go
to Effects – (or adjust) sharpness – sharpen
Put
your tube on a nice place.
Go to Effects – 3D effects /
drop shadow; following settings:
Layers
– merge all visible layers
Use your eraser tool to erase the corners, if you like the corners feel
free to let them as they are
Layers
– new layer for your text
Choose two nice colours from your image and use your text tool
Look for a nice font and decide what size would be best
The length of your name is of influence of course
Type your text and pick a nice place for it. Effects – 3D effects –
inner bevel; following settings:
Add
a drop shadow with the same settings as before.
Merge all visible layers
Now click on CTRL + C, followed by CTRL + V and you’ll see that all
the superfluous space is gone.
Image – resize. Change the longer side in 350 pixels.
Be sure that “all layers” is checked.
Then go to Effects – sharpness – sharpen.
Export the tag as .jpg and you’ve finished your nametag.
